Since 1571, when William Slingsby discovered the unique properties of natural spring water from the Tewit Well in Harrogate, discerning individuals have sought out the picturesque Yorkshire town to restore body, mind and soul by relaxing, indulging and socialising. Slingsby did things differently, thought differently and had a vision that others considered to be extraordinary or even, a little odd; he epitomised the Spirit of Harrogate. Made with the finest natural and locally sourced botanicals, Harrogate aquifer water and pure single grain spirit, we are proud that our unique London Dry Gin bears his name.

Tasting Notes
An initial burst of refreshing rhubarb and citrus from the grapefruit base gives way to juniper before a very smooth herbaceous sweetness, led by sweet cicely and a light green tea scented with jasmine blossom.

Enjoy straight with a premium tonic water Clicking Here. We recommend on ice with a twist of grapefruit peel and blueberries.

Slingsby gin, AKA Slingsby Spirit of Harrogate gin is, as the name suggests, a Yorkshire gin; now we’ve let the gin’s own website talk, what do we think?

Nose: Slightly floral with hints of citrus.

Palate: Delicate and smooth, whilst being fully bodied. A complex taste with well-ballanced botanicals – the flavour’s too refined for me to describe as Slingsby do in their tasting notes, but having tasted it I can see how their description fits.

Finish: Very smooth, complex, but well-rounded and polished.

Bottle Size: 70cl

Strength: 42%

Unique Selling Point: A Yorkshire gin utilising Harrogate’s natural spa water

A very enjoyable gin, nice with a premium tonic, but could also be a good basis for a cocktail too. Overall a very nice gin.
